Many years ago I had to start running a waiting list for new patients, and 4 years ago I closed this list and stopped taking anyone new because of my teaching commitments and the day-to-day needs of running my businesses. Although I’m very proud of the work my team and I have done building the Alex Howard Group of companies (80 staff across 4 continents), my heart has always been as a therapist, and I find working 1-1 the most rewarding work I get to do.
With the more recent seasons of In Therapy (October 2023 & February 2024), I tried something different - I created a more bespoke therapeutic journey for each of the participants. We took opportunities to get out of the therapy room, we moved away from a rigid format of weekly sessions (one participant flew in from South Africa and we did 8 sessions 20 days), and the results were incredible.
I then found myself wondering what would happen if I worked with all of my clients in the same bespoke and personalised way. And so, last October I opened applications for the mentorship program to a private list of people who had completed previous programs with me as an experiment, and was somewhat surprised to see the slots all fill in a week.
The mentorship program has been some of the most impactful clinical work I have ever done and with that original group now completing, I am again re–opening applications for a short window.
If you are looking to do committed therapeutic work, and you are drawn to my therapeutic style, then this program is an exciting opportunity for us to work together. If you are unfamiliar with my work, this would not be a sensible starting point.
Furthermore, this mentorship program is not for everyone. For obvious reasons, it is the most expensive program I offer, and part of our vetting will be to ensure participants are not overstretching to afford the program.
The pricing will however help us to further invest in projects such as In Therapy, so those folks who are able to access this program will play an important role in making my work freely available to a lot more people.
I’m happy to work with you around any of the therapeutic areas I have specialist experience. These include trauma, anxiety, fatigue, sleep issues, self-esteem, relationship issues etc.
