Meet your host
Alex Howard has spent the last 20 years working as a therapist and coach specializing in complex chronic illnesses, with an emphasis on working with trauma.
 
As the Founder and Chairman of The Optimum Health Clinic, Alex manages a team of 25 full-time practitioners supporting thousands of patients in 50+ countries, pioneering online treatment in the field since 2004.

Aside from publishing academic research in the British Medical Journal Open and Psychology and Health, Alex has also authored three books: Why Me? (2003), Decode Your Fatigue (2021) and It's Not Your Fault: Why Childhood Trauma Shapes You And How To Break Free (2023).

When he’s not working with clients as the creator of the Therapeutic Coaching™ methodology, he documents his therapeutic work with real-life patients via his In Therapy with Alex Howard YouTube series.

More recently, Alex has created some of the largest online conferences in the health and mind-body space, attended by over a million people—including the world’s biggest conference on trauma, the Trauma Super Conference.

How will the program work?
January 6th to 10th, you’ll join Alex’s live Zoom session at 10am EST / 7am PST / 3pm GMT

Each day Alex will delve into a new topic surrounding trauma and you’ll get the chance to ask him any questions you have about what you’re learning.

You’ll also receive daily worksheets to help you build a deeper understanding of the content as it relates to you and your situation.

Day 1:

Introducing the ECHO model of trauma

On Day 1, you will discover the groundbreaking ECHO model of trauma which helps you understand how childhood trauma echoes through every aspect of our lives.

Day 2:

The events of your trauma

Day 2 will help you understand the events of your trauma, and explain how sometimes the more subtle and covert events can actually be more damaging than the more traditionally understood traumas.

Day 3:

Why context is everything

On Day 3, Alex will explain how the context within which we experience the event of our trauma is critical, along with the 3 core emotional needs which are at the heart of our healing.

Day 4:

How trauma changes our homeostatic balance

For Day 4, you will discover how trauma impacts the homeostatic balance of our nervous system, and why learning to RESET our nervous system is at the heart of our trauma healing.

Day 5:

The outcomes of trauma in our lives

On the final day, Alex will help you understand how trauma has numerous outcomes in our lives, and by becoming more aware of them we are empowered to create change.
