Meet your host
Alex Howard has spent the last 20 years working as a therapist and coach specialising in complex chronic illnesses, with an emphasis on working with trauma.
 
As the Founder and Chairman of The Optimum Health Clinic, Alex manages a team of 25 full-time practitioners supporting thousands of patients in 50+ countries—pioneering online treatment in the field since 2004.

Aside from publishing academic research in the British Medical Journal Open and Psychology and Health, Alex has also authored three books: Why Me? (2003), Decode Your Fatigue (2021) and It's Not Your Fault: Why Childhood Trauma Shapes You And How To Break Free (2023).

When he’s not working with clients as the creator of the Therapeutic Coaching™ methodology, he documents his therapeutic work with real-life patients via his In Therapy with Alex Howard YouTube series.

More recently, Alex has created some of the largest online conferences in the health and mind-body space, attended by over a million people—including the world’s biggest conference on the nervous system: the Reset Super Conference.

You’ll learn some of the fundamental principles to understanding what’s happening in your nervous system, discover what a maladaptive stress response is, and be introduced to the Therapeutic Coaching® map for decoding your experience.

Day 2:

Mental Triggers

We'll explore the mental patterns and triggers that can drive nervous system dysregulation—focussing on the five most common patterns.

Day 3:

Emotional Triggers

You’ll learn about the safety loop and the six emotional defences we use to avoid feeling our emotions. Alex will also guide you through a practical exercise to help you become more aware of your own emotional defences.

Day 4:

Physical Systems

You’ll learn about the key bodily systems impacted by your nervous system and the interconnected loop between your mind and body.

Day 5:

The RESET Model of Healing

We’ll explore how to reset your system to create lasting change. You'll learn the five-step RESET framework, and understand why following the steps in the right order is crucial.
